What plants have landed in Fenwick this week...
We do love a delivery day at The Plant Workshop. Here's some of the most gorgeous of houseplants delivered this week AND we have more coming in on Friday, too! Skip to Home Fragrance if you fancy a treat...
Marble Queen
Check out the variegation on these beauties! Perfect for lots of spaces, including lower-light up to bright light - just check the leaves for scorching if it's somewhere with harsh, direct sun. These will dangle, climb or go wild - the choice is yours! We LOVE their ability to just soften a space and often trail them from a beautiful decorative pot, sat on top of a bookcase or shelf. Instant impact! Boom!
Spider Plant
The famous and very well-known spider plant. Talking about softening spaces, these (much like the Marble Queens above) are relatively maintenance free houseplants. I'm sure you all know someone who has lots of these, perhaps you've been given a baby as a gift?
Homalomena 'Maggy'
With beautiful red-wine coloured stems and dark, green foliage - it's easy to see why these are so popular. We think they look superb in baskets but equally as gorgeous in ceramic or cement pots. They're simple to care for and if you ever forget to water them, they'll droop - a bit like a peace lily. Nice to have a visual queue if you're busy-busy! We had these at The Chelsea Flower Show forming part of our exhibition and had people coming back to buy them!
Rhaphidiphora Tetrasperma (Monstera Minima)
Not actually a monstera, although these look very similar with similar care needs. Water once the soil dries out about halfway down the pot - or better still, grab a moisture meter so you're sure! Climbing or dangling, these have landed on a moss pole and create instant impact wherever you choose! Large, leafy and luscious...yes please!
Philodendron Squamiferum
Such an interesting philodendron with hairy, red stems and deep green foliage. Position these in bright, indirect light and watch as new leaves gently uncurl. They look tropical but are, in fact very easy to care for. No special equipment or knowledge, here! Pick a pot and plonk somewhere you want these to be noticed - they're definitely a talking point!
Asparagus Fern
There's always a plant you just can't stop touching - here's the asparagus fern. Soft, light and airy (sounds like we're describing a victoria sponge cake!), the asparagus fern is a must-have houseplant which adds huuuuge amounts of texture and softness. Not actually a fern, sorry to mislead you - cheeky! Part of the Asparagaceae family and lovers of humidity and bright, indirect light. Make sure the soil is kept moist and snip-snip any yellowing parts for a happy and healthy plant.
