Did someone say... pebble tray?

While humidifiers are excellent, they're not always an option for every person or space. Misting is fine, but the effects generally don't last as long as we would like them to. So, let us give you the lowdown on one of our favourite ways to increase humidity around houseplants, with minimal cost and effort.

A pebble tray, sometimes referred to as a humidity tray, allows your plants to receive a humidity boost without them being sat in water. Fill a tray with pebbles, or even better LECA (pictured), and pour in water until half full. Pop your plant on top (no wet feet), and as the water evaporates from the surface of the pebbles, your plants will be treated to the spa-like experience they've been dreaming of.

The benefits of using clay pebbles, also known as LECA, is that these clay pebbles will absorb some of the water and slowly release this over time, making the whole process twice as efficient!
